Michelle Kitz - Author

Michelle Kitz was born in Illinois to hard-working parents. She was first, so that put her in charge for the rest of time. Those same parents gave her younger sisters to rule over. They moved about and resided in several places in Illinois. And her mother gave her the love of reading that would fuel her imagination and later, her writing.

In the present day, Michelle lives the life of a kidult who adults when necessary. She still lives in northern Illinois. She prefers silliness and play to adulting though.

In January 2019, she fulfilled her dream of publishing her first book, Oriana: Book One of the Disunity Trilogy. And she continues to work on the sequel and other projects. She sends out a monthly newsletter and regular fiction through her Substack as well. And she still hopes that one day she can make a living with her writing.

When she isn’t writing, she likes to spend time with friends. They often play tabletop role playing games like Dungeons & Dragons and Hero System (though the games have moved to virtual spaces). She has also been known to serve as gamemaster sometimes. She still reads, though not as often as she would like. And she escapes into video games on her PC as well.

Michelle’s strongest belief is that Kindness can change the world.
